Durham Master of Arts (MA)
Introduction
Welcome From Durham University
"In the competitive environment of business companies are increasingly selective in their
choice of new recruits. Whilst a good first degree will provide a strong foundation for career development,
a Durham Masters aims to give you a head start by providing you with both general and specialist management
knowledge that can be applied in a wide range of organisational settings. This additional knowledge can improve
employability and support career enhancement". The Durham MA programme is AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB accredited.
Studying on an accredited programme will ensure confidence in the quality of the programme you will receive.
The Durham MA programmes are generalist career entry degrees that provide a framework for critically
analysing the nature, processes and practices of management or the specialist discipline of Marketing. These
degrees are designed to be academically challenging, but also to develop the skills and knowledge that employers
demand. They are without doubt an excellent platform both for a future general management or specialist career.
We offer these degrees throughout the world, but I am particularly delighted that, in partnership with Carimec,
we have been able to develop a programme that provides additional support by means of dedicated seminars. This makes
the Caribbean offering of these degrees unique, but also builds on the experience we already have in offering our MBA
programme in the Caribbean via Carimec.
When you decide to undertake a Masters degree, you are making a considerable personal commitment. Durham Business
School together with Carimec will work closely with you to help you achieve your future career goals, whilst providing
flexibility and choice in support of your current personal and job commitments. We look forward to welcoming you onto
the programmes.
